A couple caddis 2X2's today.
Collared Caddis - Originated by Tom Deschaine from Michigan. It uses 2 pantry items that most all tyers have - peacock herl and elk hair!
Hook - Mustad 98433, 8-18
Thread - black
Body - peacock herl, or can use natural or synthetic dubbing for the body)
Wing - elk hair
Collar - peacock herl
UV Soft Hackle Caddis - This is a pattern from Mike Telford.
Hook - 1 XS, ring-eyed curved hook, 12-20
Thread - tan or camel
Bead - black or gold bead
Rib - fine gold wire
Body - 50/50 mix of dark hare's ear fur and tan ice dub, wrapped using a dubbing loop
Hackle - one turn of hen pheasant
