Picked up a new hardy on the weekend from Micheal and Young Fly Shop in Surrey BC. It’s a Hardy Demon, pretty nice stick, lots of power, just need to find the right line. Anyone have any experience with this rod and what lines work well with it?

Ok, I assumed so... I haven't used that rod, so until someone does chime in, here's my thoughts!
...I'll spare you brands as you are well aware ;)
On my 10' chronie rods I use outbound short lines one line weight up. Simple one or two hauls and your line is out! Good for pulling those long leaders out. Cuts through wind well too.

Thanks for that @HarkatScott. There are so many new lines and they are so expensive now WTF! When I was in Micheal & Young on the weekend they mentioned a new SA line that was self lubricating and is suppose to last a lifetime $150 though. Sounds interesting, he said casts like the wind being greasy like, all the time.

Why not email hardy in England and asked to a
Matched line? I used to work for them
And they will be able to help you pal. Thanks lee
