For a number of years I swapped flies on the Fly Tying forum (I met @easternfly and @Fishingbobnelson in those swaps). Many of those flies got fished and duplicated, others went into fly boxes and once I ran out of fly boxes a lot went here.

Committing to tie up a dozen or so flies and sending them off to be viewed by other tiers, who were much better than I, forced me to become a better tier myself over time. I really appreciated the chance to not only participate, but to meet some great fly tiers.

Here are some flies from Avril Anjers, very nice lady from Arizona, most will remember her from back in the old site days. When I was trying to contact old members from the old site I discovered she had passed away a year ago, May she Rest In Peace!

I have one of her flies here, The Black Ganja
RIP young lady you are missed
I would like to see this Black Ganga.
Perhaps you could put it in the appropriate gallery with a credit for Avril.
I never met her myself, but it appears she had quite an impact on the community.
It is a tough day when we lose one of own.
Condolences to all who knew her.
