Looks like total destruction of the Silver Skagit Valley Road.

These guys only made it up about 19 km which is about 21 km from the campground and 36 km from Ross Lake. Can always fish from Sumallo Grove from Manning Park I suppose.

Well at least we won't be getting attacked by those vicious, mammoth sized mosquitoes for a while. Since the original road was a forest service road I don't know if it will come back until they want to do more logging back there. I don't see the government funding anything like that.

Any word on progress/government decisions regarding rebuilding the road to Ross Lake, including the condition of the Skagit River bridge crossing at 26 Mile?

They're assessing for now with work to start soon. Still nor sure a little July 1
Thanks, HarkatScott. Have yet to hear about the upper bridge, and the ~10 Km section upstream of Silver Lake must have taken a beating. Any idea for whom the work into the park and to the border/lake is necessitated (Parks, CBSA)? Also, I can't find any recent aerial photos nor recent over-flight videos other than the 2021 stuff from MoF and the fellows whom were stuck behind the washout.

Here is an April 10 satellite of the Skagit within the provincial park. The roadlooksokk sidethe park. I believe the main damage is that silver creek stretch. Lotsof logging in the area and I think that will facilitate a quicker road repair.

Thanks for reminding me of that site. Looked at the Sentinel-2 L2A True Color image from Feb 24, in 3D, and it appears the 26 Mile bridge is still there, but can't tell how badly the road upstream of Silver Lake is pooched.
