Calling out all you wooden drift boat nerds! I picked a old 16 ft drift boat that needs a little love. It has been sitting around for quite a few years and has developed some rot that needs to be replaced. Its is a very solid boat, well designed and should be a easy restore job as the bottom and lower frame structure is solid. I’m told this boat was made by a guy in Bella Coola / Hagensborg and it was called Blewett drift boats, Has anyone heard of this build before? I am having troubles finding any info on it at all.

This will be an ongoing thread throughout the winter, should be fun and cant wait to see it finished. I have never done a drift boat before so I appreciate any advice. :)

@RickB don't know if I would be drifting that boat down many rivers I know but definitely a laker. My wife would say "...that it could also be a great planter for the front yard before you put one dollar into it..."

Maybe we should go back to your Fraser River jet boat. Just saying buddy ;-)
